Lovers of Vulnerable Tea and Coffee Beverages

Coffee and tea is a popular drink in many countries. Although basically the drink does not contain calories, the addition of sweetener makes coffee fans and tea easy fat.

Compared with black coffee drinkers only, coffee enthusiasts who add sweeteners have an increase of 69 calories a day, whereas in tea drinkers with sugar there is an additional 43 calories.

"Most coffee and tea drinkers add a calorie sweetener to boost the taste of the drink, but they are not aware of any implications for the number of calories," said Ruopeng An, an assistant professor of health community at the University of Illinois.

Sugar and other sweeteners, such as milk or cream, are the most commonly added substances in coffee. Meanwhile, tea drinkers usually choose sugar, milk, or sugar substitutes like honey.

"Overdoses can cause heart rhythm disturbances, vasoconstriction, heart attacks, strokes, and high blood pressure in certain populations," says Splaver.
